Formats Input Formats Output Formats | Input Formats On the input side, we can handle a wide variety of paper and film media: - Printed sheets
- Books (hard- and soft-cover)
- Spiral-bound manuals
- Comb-bound manuals
- Rare and fragile books and documents
- Microfilm
- Microfiche
At this time, we have to take books apart for scanning. Otherwise, your originals are returned to you exactly in the condition we receive them. Output Formats The format of the output media is determined by several considerations, such as the scope of conversion and how you intend to use the converted files. -
If the converted files are meant to be viewed only, typical output formats would be: - TIF images
- Single-layer PDF files.
If your requirements demand a different file format, it is no problem. -
For viewable and searchable/indexable files, a suitable output format might be: - TIF or other images with text layers
- PDF files
- MDI (Microsoft Document Imaging) files
- XPS (Office 2007 Print Image) files
Again, alternative file formats are not a problem if your requirements so demand. -
For web publishing, your information may be converted to: - HTML files
- XML files
- Files tagged for eBooks, eLearning systems, or other web resources
-
If converting to revisable files, the output format would typically be one useable by a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or Microsoft Works). Again, we support a very wide range of file formats, and can supply any file format you may require. | |
